Lauren Walizer

Senior Policy Analyst, Postsecondary Education and Workforce Development

Lauren Walizer is a senior policy analyst with CLASP’s postsecondary education and workforce development team, where she works to ensure equitable connections between low-income students and affordable and quality postsecondary education programs. She analyzes and advocates for federal policy that supports this goal. Additionally, she provides technical assistance on how to create systems change in states and institutions, in order to better give low-income students opportunities for economic mobility.Ms. Walizer previously worked at the U.S. Department of Education and holds an MSEd in education policy and a master of government administration from the University of Pennsylvania. She also has a bachelor’s in political science from George Washington University.
