Is Breville 800JEXL easy to use?
Juice Fountain Elite is easy to assemble and dismantle after use. You can only assemble its parts one way. And the unit has a safety locking mechanism that does not allow operation unless it is in place.
While it can juice anything, it’s not efficient with leafy greens. But you can get a slight performance boost if you roll them up. Another trick is to wrap them around something, like a carrot. This helps them move through the cutting disk.
The Breville Juice Fountain Elite centrifugal juicer is powerful enough to juice whole apples! Make sure to use the food pusher to help everything feed down into the blades.
The last thing to mention is about the noise. This machine is quite noisy, as are most centrifugal juicers. But it juices so quickly that it isn’t too long before the noise is over.
Is Breville 800JEXL easy to clean?
Most of the parts of the 800JEXL are dishwasher safe. But you’ll want to rinse off the debris before placing them into the dishwasher.
To clean the Breville Juice Fountain Elite, simply:
- Disassemble the juicer
- Rinse everything off
- Hand wash the food pusher and mesh strainer using the provided cleaning brush
- Place everything else in the top rack of the dishwasher.
Even though most parts are dishwasher safe, it’s still best to wash all parts by hand. Once washed, allow them to air dry. They will last longer that way.
The strainer is the piece that will take the longest to clean and remove the remaining pulp.

What kinds of produce can The Juice Fountain Elite process?
This juicing machine can process dense produce, soft fruits and citrus fruits.
Dense produce includes cilantro, pear, pineapple, coconut, asparagus, watermelon, cucumber, apple, yakon, garlic, cauliflower, celery, fennel, bitter gourd, beets, sweet potato, carrots, pepper, turmeric, pumpkin, ginger and broccoli.
Citrus fruits include orange, tangerine, lime, grapefruit, mandarin and lemon.
Using the low-speed setting you can process soft fruits such as peach, tomato, melon, mango, blackberry, kiwifruit, papaya, grapes, avocado, strawberry, cranberries and pomegranate for making a puree.
Can it juice leafy greens and nuts?
Breville Juicer 800JEXL can, but it’s not as efficient as slow press juicers. However, if you really want to juice leafy greens with your juice fountain elite you can try these tricks:
- Roll your green leafy vegetables like a huge spring roll
- Wrap it around a carrot or any hard produce
- Put it in between hard produce like a sandwich
Ultimately, this device won’t be able to juicer leafy greens that well. It isn’t a knock against this juicer. It’s just the nature of centrifugal juicers. If you want to primarily juice leafy greens, go with a masticating juicer instead.

The only real downside to this juicer is the manufacturer’s warranty is only for one year.
