Child Care Community Letter Calling for Child Care in Reconciliation

Child care and early learning are foundational supports for families and the American economy that have been under-resourced for far too long and nearly decimated by the pandemic. Without immediate Congressional action to provide additional federal investments in child care and early learning, this situation is likely to worsen as states and programs realize that additional support is not forthcoming, and current federal relief funding is set to run out in 2024. This letter was sent to Members of Congress by nearly 100 national organizations and more than 5,000 child care providers, parents, early learning advocates, and individuals from all 50 states, highlights the urgent need to ensure the reconciliation package includes critical investments for child care.
