Emily Kim is a research assistant for CLASP’s youth policy team, with a focus on supporting A New Deal for Youth. Prior to joining CLASP, Emily worked at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP where she provided crucial trial support. Emily also assisted with pro-bono service, such as helping clients receive their social security benefits. She also interned at Congressman Matt Cartwright’s office where she provided excellent customer service and helped facilitate casework for constituents. Emily graduated summa cum laude from Lafayette College with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology & sociology and government & law. During her time in college, she was extremely involved in the college’s civic engagement and community outreach center, the Landis Center, as well as Kaleidoscope, Lafayette’s social justice organization.
